While no concrete details have so far been divulged, it is known that the third expansion pack will introduce new missions, features, and maps. The third expansion pack, titled Fall of Rome, is rumoured to be in pre-production stage right now. The global sales for Commandos: Behind Enemy Lines have not yet been established, but it is believed that it will bow in the first half of 2021.
The use of motion capture technology, where the actors are required to move around and react to commands, also adds to the authenticity of the game as it makes you feel as if you are part of the action, rather than merely viewing it on a monitor. The use of digital Raps, which were introduced in Commandos: Fortresses of the Future, has been introduced as part of the computer game.
All the previous features found in the PC version of the game have also been adapted to other platforms. Unlike its predecessor, Commandos: Behind Enemy Lines has been designed to utilize the power of the modern video game consoles, including X-Box, Play Station and the PC. It makes a loud noise which makes every enemy soldier within the range of sound to turn around towards it, or sometimes even go near it and examine it. It can be placed anywhere on the map and with the appropriate remote control the user can turn it on/off from a certain distance. The game starts with the players assume command of a B-Day patrol boat as it is refitted and prepared for battle. The Phillips L12 decoy is the Green Berets tool.
Led by series creator Carl Spivac, the game takes place in World War II and places players into commando duty against the Nazis. This is a truly amazing game and when it was released in the late 90s, it was a game I spent a great deal of time with. A standalone PC game, it was launched in October 2021.
